Don't post Zoom links anywhere
- Posting Zoom links on a Canvas Syllabus page (or inside of a syllabus) is prohibited for security reasons.

Zoom is in the Canvas navigation
- A link to Zoom meetings is provided in the left navigation of your Canvas site.
- Instructional staff can "Schedule a New Meeting" (Zoom section, or other) using the Zoom link in the left navigation.
- Students can then access all Zoom meetings by using the Zoom link in the left navigation.
Canvas public-facing pages
- The Syllabus page on your Canvas course site is public-facing.
- All other pages on your course site are accessible only to registered students and instructional staff.
Use a Front Page (if needed)
- The Syllabus page is automatically set as your home page. Placing materials other than a syllabus on the public-facing Syllabus page is not recommended.
- When needed, designate a Front Page on your Canvas site to serve as a landing page for students in place of using the public-facing Syllabus page:
- 1. In the left navigation, choose "page"
2. Create and publish a new page
2. Set the page as the "Front Page"
3. Choose your home page: select "Front Page" instead of "Syllabus"
Create, publish & designate a new page as a Front Page
- Select "Choose Home Page" to designate your Front Page as your students' landing page.
