Unpublished and Published Statuses

What to know
  • As an instructor, you have the ability to release content to your students at your pace.

Unpublished

  • Gray icons indicate unpublished content. Unpublished content exists in a “draft state” and is invisible to students.

  • Green icons indicate the content is published. Published content is visible and accessible to student

Restricted Access

  • This only applies to content in Files area.
  • When the link restriction is set, the file can only be viewed if they are given the link to the file. This option only allows files to be hidden from students in Course Files.

Note

Be aware that the state of the Module overrides the state of all module items.

You may want to consider leaving Pages unpublished until you are ready to publish the entire Module.
