Modify the Course Navigation Menu

The course navigation menu is a series of links on the left side of your course that help you and your students access different course areas or integrated external tools. 

Depending on the structure of your course, you can choose to reorder and hide some of the course navigation links. 



Step 1.

  • Click on "Settings" at the bottom of the course navigation menu.

Step 2.

  • Select the "Navigation" tab at the top of the screen.

Step 3.

  • Modify the course navigation menu.
    • Drag and drop the features you would like to enable or disable for student access.
      • Enabled Navigation: The top portion menu means the features are visible and accessible to students.              
      • Disabled Navigation: The bottom portion menu means the features are invisible and inaccessible to students.

Step 4.

  • Click "Save" and refresh the page.
    • Enabled features display without the invisible eye icon. The links are visible and enabled for student use.
    • Disabled links will be displayed with the invisible eye icon and disabled for student use.
