About: Andy (he/him) has been a member of the Digital Accessibility Services team since 2020. Before that, he worked as a UX researcher at Sallie Mae Bank. Andy works on various DAS projects but specializes in procurement and multimedia.

Workshop: Improv for Educators 

About: Bridget (she/her) collaborates with instructors to develop online asynchronous courses. She works together with instructors to adapt course content, develop meaningful learning experiences, and create opportunities for students to engage with each other in the online, asynchronous environment. Then, she implements the course content and learning tools in Canvas.

Dustin Liu 
Instructor for Applied Learning Design 

Workshop: Backward Designing Your Course

About: Dustin (he/him) is an Instructor at Harvard Extension School and a Lecturer at Stanford, guiding students as they develop their own answers to the tough questions in life, education, and vocation. Outside of higher education, he is a guide and facilitator in learning communities where he designs learning experiences and curriculum. He also serves as a coach for senior leaders within organizations learning and evolving into generous and humane ways of operating through a developmental lens.

Workshop: Encouraging Academic Integrity in the Age of ChatGPT 

About: Ethan (he/they) works with instructors to help them develop fully-online Extension School courses. Together with instructors, he considers how an all-online learning environment is similar to and different from the classroom, and brainstorms ways to adapt the course content to improve the online student's experience.

Harvard Library Course Reserves Manager

Workshop: Teaching with Harvard Library Resources 

About: J (she/her) and her team work across the Harvard Library system to help provide students with access to course materials. Send them a reading list for your course, and they will search library holdings for you. If the material is not already owned by the library in a digital format, they will work to purchase or digitize it, and they will post the digital content to Canvas. (Want the material to be made available at the library in a physical format instead? They can do that too—just let them know!)

About: Jamie joined the Digital Accessibility Services team after working for several years with Harvard University Disability Resources. Her background is in teaching and training around accessibility concepts and best practices to foster an inclusive community experience at Harvard.

About: Jonathan Paulo (he/him) is the Online Learning and Reference Librarian for Harvard Extension School. He and Mary Frances work together to help Extension students, faculty and staff navigate and use the plethora of resources and tools available through the Harvard Library.

Workshop: Making Your Canvas Sites Accessible

About: Sarah (she/her) leads a team of instructional technologists working with faculty using a broad range of tools to enhance the learning experience. She serves as a liaison between DCE and the rest of the Harvard community as new tools and strategies evolve and are tested, helping to ensure that the tools are developed and deployed in a way that best suits course content and meets the needs of both DCE instructors and students.

Zahra Ahmed
Faculty Development Specialist 

Workshop: Facilitating Engagement with Sensitive Topics

About: Zahra (she/her) leads and designs faculty trainings on pedagogy and practices for online and in-person teaching. She is passionate about cultivating communities of practice for faculty to connect, share, and grow. She launched the Inclusive Teaching Institute, a learning community open to faculty and teaching staff University-wide where she has implemented 2 faculty fellowship models, including an instructor-led professional learning model and an instructor peer learning group model.
