Teaching on Your Feet: Roleplaying Real Classroom Challenges

In this participatory workshop, you’ll dive into real-world classroom scenarios, think on your feet, and test out practical strategies for handling the unexpected. We’ll roleplay three common teaching challenges: 1) managing a dominant voice, 2) responding to grade complaints, 3) and navigating politically charged moments. You’ll leave with fresh tools, new perspectives, and the confidence to adapt in the moment, plus the chance to reflect and debrief with fellow instructors in a supportive, hands-on space.
