What to know
- Announcement text from prior courses can be copied to current course and reused.
- Links must be realigned to the current course.
Note
Images will not move with the copied Announcement content and must be reuploaded and/or re-input from the current course files. When images are reimplemented, all images should be evaluated for permissions to use (copyright) and made accessible with appropriate alt-text.
Copying Announcements
Step 1
Navigate to "Announcements" in the course navigation menu in your prior course.

Step 2
Open the announcement you want to copy and choose "Edit" in the Settings menu.
Step 3
Select and copy the content you wish to reuse in your new course.
Step 4
Open the "Announcements" in the course navigation menu in your new course and click the "+ Add Announcement" button.
Step 5
Input an announcement title and paste your announcement content into the "Topic Content" field

Updating Links
Step 6
Click links within the text and select the "Link Options" selection.

Step 7
Determine if the links are course or external links.
- For external links, validate that the link is still a working link.
- For course links, use the "Remove Link" option and remake the "Course link" using link menu options

Step 8
Set announcement options and click "Save" button.
